SERVICE LEARNING
What is the difference between community service and service-learning?
While both can be meaningful activities, service-learning integrates an educational component with the goal of changing both the recipient and the provider of the service. Minimally, service-learning activities incorporate an education related activity prior to the service project taking place, as well as a reflection component at its conclusion.
Our hope is that these experiences will not only push students out of their comfort zones but also challenge participants to think critically, work cooperatively with others, and foster a lifelong commitment to service and volunteerism.
ALTERNATIVE SPRING BREAK

Alternative Spring Break trips not only provide the opportunity for rich cross-cultural interaction but also allow students to develop greater self-awareness, learn about other countries and the unique challenges they face, whilst reflecting on their own role in the global community.
