Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP) is an internationally recognized hub for applied research, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Located at Qatar Foundation, QSTP has access to the resources of all its leading research universities. Its members include small companies, international corporations and research institutions.

Together, these members have committed to fund new ventures, create intellectual property, enhance technology management skills and develop innovative new products in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.

In operation since 2004, QSTP’s 36 member groups moved into the state-of-the-art facilities in 2010, from where they execute applied research and deliver commercial technologies in the areas of environment, health sciences and information and communication technologies.

QSTP a collaborative hub

QSTP shares ideas, knowledge and expertise among global companies, local enterprises and educational institutions, including the academic organizations of Qatar Foundation.

Members at QSTP include: Total, Rolls-Royce, William’s Formula One and Microsoft, with Cisco and iHorizons developing new IT applications at QSTP; EADS and GE at the forefront of industrial technologies and Virgin Health Bank QSTP establishing the region’s first cord blood banking facility.

Did you know?

  • The Qatar Robotic Surgery Centre at QSTP is a training, demonstration and technology-development facility for cutting edge medical robots. Robotic surgery is a minimally invasive form of surgery that speeds up healing times. A QSTP initiative in collaboration with renowned Imperial College London, The Qatar Robotic Surgery Centre, comprises three Da Vinci-brand medical robots, a simulation operating theatre and a ‘tele-mentoring’ suite.
