Beside its liberal arts curriculum, SFS-Qatar fosters original research in social sciences and humanities with a special emphasis on international affairs.
The Center for International and Regional Studies at SFS-Qatar
Established in 2005, the Center for International and Regional Studies (CIRS) at SFS-Qatar is a world-class research institute devoted to the academic study of regional and international issues, with a particular focus on the Gulf region and the Middle East.
It encourages and facilitates study through dialogue and the exchange of ideas, research and scholarship, seeking to engage with scholars, opinion makers, practitioners, and activists.
